Jeff Weaver

Jeffrey C. Weaver obtained his Funeral Director’s license in 1973, and spent the next eight years working in funeral services in Oshawa, Ont. In 1981, Jeffrey returned home to join his father E.W. (Al) Weaver in the family business. Jeff continues to uphold the Weaver tradition in both funeral services and within the local community. He is the past President of the Bay of Quinte Funeral Association and the Heart & Stroke Foundation, as well as a board member of the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Rotary Club and Business Links of Campbellford, and the Business Network International of Trenton. He is also a founding member of the Campbellford chapter of Ducks Unlimited. Jeff and his wife Susan purchased the Campbellford Chapel from Al and Marion Weaver in 1987. Jeff’s wife Susan plays an integral role at Weaver Family Funeral Home, primarily at the Campbellford Chapel, and as needed in Trenton. Jeff and Susan have three children, Tim, Tom and Elizabeth, who all grew up as valued and committed helpers in the family business.

Tim Weaver

Tim Weaver is the third generation of the Weaver family to provide the community with funeral services. Tim has been a licensed Funeral Director since 1999, and plays an important role in managing the day-to-day operations of all the locations.  He is currently the Chief Operations Officer for the entire company.  Tim has been an active volunteer with Quinte Conservation (Past Chair of Dinner Committee), and he is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Trenton, serving as President in 2015/2016.  He also served as Vice President of the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce, and is Past President of Bay of Quinte Funeral Service Association.  Tim and his wife Krista and his daughters Isabelle & Allison live in Trenton.  Tim and Krista are very proud to be active and valued members of the community. It is Tim’s goal to continue the Weaver tradition of providing families in Trenton, Campbellford, and Warkworth with the dedication and service excellence that the Weaver Family Funeral Home is known for.  When time away from work is available enjoys camping with his family and spending time with his 2 young daughters.

Melanie MacDonald

Having joined the Weaver team in 2002, Melanie enjoys serving families from our four locations.  She has involved herself within the community volunteering and serving on committees with several organizations.  Melanie & her husband James were both born and raised locally and enjoy being able to raise their 3 children Madison, Mackenzie and Ella within our community.  Being able to give back to the people around you is a way that Melanie says thank you to her family and everyone who mentored her along the way.  ​

Emily Workman-Brandt

Emily is a licensed Ontario Funeral Director as of 2014, and currently resides in Stirling with her soon-to-be husband and their Golden Doodle Winston. With her military family background, Emily is very familiar with moving. We are very fortunate to have her choose the Quinte West area as her new "Home". A graduate of Bayside Secondary School, Emily likes to be involved with her community, singing the National Anthem for the Trenton Golden Hawks Junior "A" Hockey Team and the new Belleville Senators Team. Emily's spare time is spent enjoying her membership at Go Active Ontario, instructing Standup Paddle-Boarding and playing baseball in Stirling.  Emily's confident, calm and friendly personality, combined with her passion and dedication for helping bereaved families, are the perfect ingredients for success in her chosen profession.

Thomas Payton

Thomas Payton has been a licensed funeral director since 1987, and a licensed insurance agent since 2010.  He specializes in preplanning and his experience and expertise insures that all your wishes and expectations will be met. Thomas lives in Trenton with his wife and two children and is actively involved in the community as a member of the local country/rock band, Tailgate.

Linda Plotz

Linda has been an intregral part of our team since 1996, when our TRENTON -EAST location first opened at 29 Bay St.  She has met many caring people over the years and has been privileged to serve and assist at a time of loss.  Linda is a vital asset throughout all four of our locations.  Proud Gramma to Dominick and a member of the Trenton United Church. 

Susan Weaver

Susan and Jeff are the owners of Weaver and she is a very important member of the staff.  Susan works mostly behind the scene helping in many aspects of the business including door reception, and luncheons.  Her 3 children Tim. Tom & Elizabeth have all grown up in the family business.

Anne Ward

Anne started working as a receptionist and hostess about 3 years ago.  She also works as a 
Certified Funeral Celebrant, which allows her to work directly with families.  This is "the best part of my work" for Anne - telling someone's story and giving meaning to their life.  

Peggy Meiklejohn

Peggy joined the Weaver Team in 2008, after 33 years as a Registered Nurse at Campbellford Memorial Hospital. Along with volunteering, Weaver affords the opportunity to assist and giveback to the community. Peggy is married to Jim, and has 3 sons: Rajean, Rooke and Rory, along with her daughter-in-law Sheri and 2 delightful grand-daughters: Josie and Ainlsey. You may find her at visitations and services, or as Office Assistant, over seeing coordinating donations and our Nurse Transfer program.

Warren has been with Weaver for 2 years. He finds his job very rewarding.

Warren also has his Smart Serve Certification, and serves as bartender for numerous receptions and gatherings at the Trenton Life Centre.

Mike Boyer

Born in Toronto, the youngest of 4 children, Mike developed a keen interest in the history and traditions of the Funeral Industry in his late teens, when his brother-in-law became a funeral director in Toronto. He went on to become a published author of Ontario History and also authored many history-related articles and biographies. Mike finally realized his life-long dream of working for a funeral home in 2014 when he joined the Weaver family, serving area families with compassion and understanding.

Carol Mason

Hostess

Carol has enjoyed working with the Weaver Team for the past 12 years, serving our community with care & compassion at such a difficult time for families. Carol believes that a Celebration of Life for their loved one helps make the grieving process easier to manage. Along with maintaining inventory of both of the Trenton locations' sundries and supplies, greeting family & friends and hostessing at receptions is another integral part of Carol's responsibility.

Earl's career in sales, marketing, and service was always aimed at helping people. He has continued this in his work with Weaver for the past 10 years. Earl is a gifted carpenter and is usually seen working with his wife JoAnn at numerous vistations and services.

Jo has been with Weaver for 20 years. She has always enjoyed working with people and finds it very rewarding to help our families. JoAnn is a valued member of Beta Sigma Phi, and she is a trusted regular hostess, often working alongside her husband Earl for vistations and receptions.

Don Harvey

Don has been with Weaver since 2011. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110 in Trenton, and also a Past Master and current Secretary of Consecon Masonic Lodge No. 50 GRC. Don has been appointed as a Grand Steward of the Grand Lodge of A.F.&A.M. of Canada in the Province of Ontario.

 

Sherry Bertrand

Sherry started employment with Weaver in 2011. Having lost several close relatives in the past, she has much compassion for those in mourning. Sherry enjoys hearing how the person touched the lives of others and then helping families find happiness in their memories.

Sharalin Tippett

Hostess

Sharalin has worked for Weaver since 2012.  She enjoys working with & helping the families that we serve- she finds it very rewarding. Originally from Toronto, she moved to the country in 1988 to raise her 3 boys. She lives on a hobby farm raising sheep & chickens, and enjoys gardening, fishing and getting her hands dirty.  Sharalin and her husband are the owners of Celtic Brews brewery in Campbellford.

Jim grew up on a family farm in Campbellford and married his wife Mary in 1957. They raised 4 children and Jim is the proud Grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He worked at Campbellford Memorial Hospital in maintenance for 8 years, and at Dart Cups as a plant engineer for 18 years. 

Upon retiring, Jim joined the Weaver Family Funeral Homes and has worked here for 13 years. He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and attending country jamborees with Mary. He is an active member of the Campbellford Lions Club and the Campbellford Seniors Club. Jim is a valued member of the Weaver team; meeting, greeting and assisting people in their time of need.

Joe Barton

Joe has worked for the Weaver Family for 4 years, after retiring from Hydro One. Weaver helped him during his times of losing loved ones. Now working for Weaver, it makes Joe feel good to help others during their time of sorrow.

Barry Brown

Barry has worked for Weaver for approximately 4 years. He truly enjoys the interaction with family and friends of the deceased. Barry retired from a career in real estate after 25 years and now spends his time golfing and curling. He and his wife Darlene have 2 daughters and 2 grand-daughters. 

 

 

 

Jim Harvey

Jim is a computer programmer with over 20 years experience in both the private sector and the hospital environment. His love of helping people has given him great enjoyment over the years and has provided him with many lasting friendships, which he treasures. Jim prefers to work in the background, allowing his cooperative nature to bring people together by means of praise and support. His patience and understanding allow him to be extremely good at bridging the language barriers between different parties.  Jim's greatest joy has been watching his two boys growing into young men.
