COVID - 19 Protocol

COVID - 19 Update: March 1, 2022

Dear Family and Friends in our Communities:

As we are all learning what the new normal is, we want to be sure to have safety as our number one priority for the families we serve and for our team.  Weaver is dedicated to the community and wants you to be aware of the protocols that we have now updated.

We are implementing procedures to minimize transmission of the coronavirus based on the Province of Ontario’s health guidelines:

  • We ask all guests to use hand sanitizer upon entry. Use it frequently while visiting; the containers are placed conveniently throughout our facilities.  Consistent surface disinfecting including handles, switches, phones, keyboards, pens etc. is completed throughout the day.
  • Masks are required for entry into our facilities.
  • We will not be allowing any post-funeral receptions with food or drink until further notice, which includes our coffee service areas. We will offer this again when it is safe to do so.

Funeral Ceremonies & Visitation Guidelines

Visitations and Funeral Ceremonies will be permitted and guests are required to wear masks. Please contact the funeral home for capacity numbers.

The Weaver Team has been wearing masks during these times and will continue to do so.  It is mandatory that any guest entering our facilities wears a mask, as per the BAO (Bereavement Authority of Ontario).  Medical grade or cloth masks are sufficient.  Social distancing is still required for both indoor services if possible.

Your families are important and we will work with each and every one of you to establish what will best help you in this difficult time.

Delayed Celebration of Life

Please know that we are here to work with the families we have previously served that chose to delay a Celebration of Life. We will continue to assist you if that is something that would help in your healing.

We at Weaver want to thank our communities for your patience during this difficult time.  If we continue to move forward with safety as a priority first and foremost, we will be able to transition back to a more normal format of ceremonies and visitations in the future.  Please feel free to contact us with questions or concerns on any of the above procedures.
