Belleville Waterfront & Multicultural Festival

Jul 12, 2018 04:00 PM to Jul 15, 2018 08:00 PM

July 12 - July 15

Acknowledged as one of Ontario’s Top 100 Festivals for the 4th year in a row the Belleville Waterfront & Multicultural Festival is gearing up for an exciting year on the beautiful Bay of Quinte from Thursday July 12th to Sunday July 15th.

You’ll weave your way through our Vendor Marketplace with merchandise from all over the world, stay awhile in the Children’s Village and be entertained by expressive and diverse multicultural entertainers. Family attractions each day include Canine Watersports, Ultimutts Dog Shows and non-stop musical entertainment on the Main Stage.

By the time you’ve spent some time in the park, the smells from our locally sourced international food tents will have your mouth watering. Maybe you are coming back for the amazing piri-piri chicken from Portugal, the momos from Tibet, the perogies from Poland or the many tastes of Mexico, Italy, India or China.

The Main Stage has always been a popular attraction at the festival and this year is no exception. Classic rock musical tributes in 2018 include Elton John, Journey, Triumph & Shania Twain. Regional favourites include The Far Side, Andy Forgie & Big Black Smoke, The Tony Silvestri Band, Freddy Vette & The Flames, Melanie Hilmi & Miss Emily (Emily Fennel). Other amazing performers include Jordon John (Canada’s answer to Bruno Mars), Silver Elvis, and The Saturday Night Superstars. Saturday afternoon grab your poodle skirts and high tops and slick back your hair … get ready for our “Tribute to Grease”.

Incredible Edibles Festival Farm Tour

Jul 13, 2018 09:00 AM to Jul 13, 2018 04:00 PM

v=

Name: Incredible Edibles Festival Farm Tour
Date: July 13, 2018
Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT

Event Description:
The 4th annual Incredible Edibles Farm Tour takes place on Friday, July 13th from 9am to 4pm.  This year we go behind the scenes of some of the most interesting farm operations in the area.  Scheduled this year are:

• Healey Falls Bison Farm. Wendelin McConnell will introduce you to her herd of magnificent bison, tell you how they are raised, challenges, opportunities in their business.
• Masson Meadows Sheep Farm.  If you’ve never been up close and personal with sheep, here is your opportunity.  Beyond that, hear how the sheep are bred, raised and marketed on this successful farm just outside of Campbellford
• McKelvie’s Dairy Farm has created a new way to house and care for their cows which makes the animals far more efficient in their milk production.  Get behind the scenes of this family run operation and see how they are forging new techniques.
• Hoards Station Sale Barn and Livestock Exchange has been a hub in this community for many generations.  Every Tuesday farmers bring livestock here to be sold and/or exchanged.  Get a real feel for how this market runs as they offer up a ‘mock’ auction just for our tour!

• LUNCH ANYONE?  We’re delighted that Caper’s Taphouse will be providing a locally sourced lunch that is guaranteed to fill your belly and make you happy.

Tickets are available for only $50 at www.IncredibleEdiblesFestival.com or call Rebekah at 705-653-92987.
