Weaver Family Funeral Homes
have completed the training, and met the requirements as Certified Funeral Celebrants. The Funeral Celebrant is a new approach in North America that focuses on creating personalized and memorable funerals, a concept that has been widely utilized in New Zealand and Australia, for many years.
A Funeral Celebrant is a layperson, clergy, or funeral professional who has been trained in the specific area of creating and facilitating funerals for those families or individuals who do not wish to have services that are based solely on religious tradition.
Celebrants are dedicated to personalizing the service and creating a truly memorable and meaningful funeral experience, including tradition funeral services, tributes, services of remembrance, memorial services, and graveside memorials. The family meeting time allows the Celebrant to bond with family members, and as the family storytelling unfolds, an initial design for a funeral service that will accurately reflect the life and attributes of their loved one, begins to evolve. Typically, a Certified Funeral Celebrant will spend on average, between 10 and 15 hours, designing, composing, and developing the personalized funeral tribute, including audio/visual enhancement. However there aren't any templates for these funerals, and each service will be completed as unique as the person being honored.
